No. Although our policy covers almost any incident while you’re riding for personal or pleasure purposes, a Motorcycle Insurance in South Africa plan isn’t valid if you’re using the bike for business reasons.

While there’s no harm in taking to the open road with a passenger, we won’t be able to pay out if that passenger is paying a fare for the ride. The same applies if you’re hiring out your motorcycle or using it to teach others to ride. For the greatest peace of mind, we advise taking out Business Insurance to provide the legal and financial protection you might need. 

No. You will not be covered if you are racing your bike. Although we have no problem with you taking to the open road at high speeds – as long as you’re obeying the speed limit – we, unfortunately, cannot insure you if you’re racing your bike.

Racing, whether on a track or on the streets, dramatically increases the risk of loss or damage to your vehicle, so we don’t provide motorbike insurance for damaged or destroyed vehicles during any kind of racing competition, rally or track day.
