A sister who knows her cuts and her cover

When you think of a butcher, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? After reading this, it may just be Blondie. This savvy and vivacious small business owner runs her business with both grit and grace. She is not only a proud butchery owner but a proud 1st for Women customer too. We recently had the privilege of chatting to Blondie. She enthusiastically shared her fascinating journey and how 1st for Women is there for her, every step of the way.  

Blondie’s journey begins with her mother, who started the business in 2016. When her mother fell ill in 2020, Blondie immediately stepped in and took over. Although the business has faced many challenges, including a broken transformer, Blondie has persevered. She explains that the competition is tough and you need to work hard to stay ahead. When it comes to the safety of her business however, she has nothing to worry about.  

She says that if she ever needs to leave the shop, for any reason, she is not worried because she has cover from 1st for Women.  This sense of safety started from the moment she took out her policy. She recalls that the call centre agent was friendly and helpful, and that the process was quick and easy. Everything was clearly explained and she understood her cover from the start.
