Scratch & Dent Cover

Keeping your car looking chic on the outside is important to you. This plan provides cover for the repair of chips, minor dents and light scratches on the outside of your car. We also know that renewing your car’s licence can be such a hassle. That’s why we’ve included our Licence Support benefit. This comes in handy when renewing your car’s licence because we’ll handle all aspects of your renewal – from reminding you and ensuring you complete the necessary forms through to delivering the renewed licence disc to your door.

Scratch & Dent Inside-Out Cover

You care about your car and want it to look new on the outside and on the inside. Scratch & Dent Inside-Out covers repair of chips, minor dents and light scratches on the outside of your car as well as the repair of scratches, scuff marks and tears of parts on the inside of your car.

What can I claim for?
Scratch & Dent Cover

You can claim for the repairs of chips, minor dents and light scratches on the outside of your vehicle. Refer to terms and conditions for more detail on repair specifications.

Scratch & Dent Inside-Out Cover

You can claim for the repairs of chips, minor dents and light scratches on the outside of your vehicle and repair of scratches, scuff marks and tears of selected parts on the inside of your vehicle. This includes the centre console, dashboard, door handles etc. Refer to terms and conditions for a full list of parts covered for repair.

  • Claims will not affect your short-term vehicle insurance policy.
  • Claims will also not affect your Cash Back Plus payout.
  • No excess is payable on claims.
  • Unlimited number of claims.
  • All repair work has a 3-year guarantee.

Licence Support

Scratch & Dent cover includes access to our Licence Support benefit. Note that this benefit is not available on Scratch & Dent Inside-Out.

What does Licence Support offer?

We’ll handle all aspects of your car licence renewal, from renewal forms and documents through to delivering the renewed licence disc to your door, so you won’t have to worry about a thing. You only need to make payment for the licence.

 

What does it cost?
Scratch & Dent Cover

For just R119 per month you can get Scratch & Dent Cover up to R3 000 per claim. You can also upgrade to Scratch & Dent Plus cover for R169 and increase your cover limit to R5 000 per claim.

Scratch & Dent Inside-Out Cover

For just R149 per month you can get Scratch & Dent Inside-Out Cover up to R3 000 per claim. You can also upgrade to Scratch & Dent Inside-Out Plus cover for R199 and increase your cover limit to R5 000 per claim.

What are the limitations of Licence Support?
  • You may only claim for the vehicle registered under your policy with the Licence Support benefit.
  • Your premium must be paid in full at the time of the vehicle licence renewal.
  • You will be invoiced and liable for the payment of the actual licence renewal fee.
  • You must comply with all the legal and regulatory requirements of the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act No. 93 of 1996) and other relevant legislation.
What is excluded from Licence Support?
  • Non-roadworthy vehicle/s
  • Vehicles not specifically listed on your policy
  • The actual cost of the renewal of the vehicle licence/s.
How do I make amendments?
  • To make changes to your policy you can call our Customer Care on 0860 10 95 71 and speak to one of our helpful consultants that will assist you.
  • Any change or cancellation will be effective from the time and date agreed to.
  • If we need to make any changes or cancel your policy we will give you 31 days’ written notice.
How do I claim?

To claim on your policy, contact our call centre on 0860 10 95 71 from Monday to Friday, between 08:00 and 17:00 and one of our helpful consultants will guide you through the process.

How do my payments work?

Your policy is payable on a monthly basis through debit order. Your premium is deducted on the date stated on your schedule to provide cover for that following month.

If, in the month following the activation of your policy (and onwards), we do not receive your premium on the due deduction date, you will be allowed a 15-day period of grace in which to pay your premium. If we still do not receive your premium after these 15 days, you will not have cover for that month.
