In a nutshell, your Third Party Only Insurance policy will not cover your car at all.

This policy has been designed to protect your financial well-being, and cover expenses, costs, damages or injuries you have caused to another person or vehicle during an accident. You will also be covered if your car damages other people’s property.

Unfortunately, the bad news is that a Third Party Only insurance policy does not include towing and storage.

The good news is that your Third Party Only insurance policy will cover:

  • The medical expenses of anyone involved in an accident up to R500.
  • The sound system in your vehicle can be insured along with your policy, but you’ll have to specify that you want it covered.
